Harry Seidler probably never imagined, when he built a house for his mother in the late 1940s, that three-quarters of a century later it would be a draw-card for vintage enthusiasts, hipsters and rockabillies.

Fifties-Fair-2009

Now an annual event, the Fifties Fair combines stalls selling vintage and reproduction fashion, accessories, vinyl, furniture and objects, live music (including headliners the Pat

Capocchi Combo), dancing, and food by Porteño. The jewel in the crown of the event is of course Rose Seidler House, one of the best examples of mid-century modern design in Sydney.
