Model Erin Heatherton showcases designs by Maticevski on the runway at the MBFWA Trends show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival

At the end of last week, fashionistas from all around town gathered at the Sydney Town Hall for the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival.

With an all-out line-up of international and local fashion and retail leaders, the festival had some special treats for the fashion-wise. The Victoria’s Secret model, Erin Heatherton (brought out by Osiris Eyewear) walked the catwalk in Sydney for the first time. Additionally, General Pants launched supermodel Stef ‘Bambi’ Northwood Blyth’s debut collection, the Australian launch of the hotly anticipated Kardashian Kollection, plus exclusive runway shows from Market HQ and Sportscraft were featured.

Trend shows were scheduled between Wednesday and Saturday nights, to give the general public the opportunity to indulge in a world-class runway show, and see all the hottest Australian designers from Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia in one mega show.

The designer line up for the 2013 season read like a who’s who of Australian fashion with all the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia designers showcasing in the ranging from Alex Perry, MATICEVSKI, Jayson Brunsdon, Collette Dinnigan, Steven Khalil to AJE and Rachel Gilbert presenting their upcoming collections to the public for the very first time.
