International-Fleet-Review

Sydney will be all a flutter (and impossible to drive around) as we celebrate the centenary of the first entry of the Royal Australian Navy’s Fleet into Sydney. The International Fleet Review will have tall ships and war ships entering Sydney Harbour, helicopter displays, formation fly-overs, fireworks and of course Prince Harry.

The International Fleet Review on Saturday October 5 will be the largest event on Sydney Harbour since the 1988 bicentenary celebration and will include almost 40 Australian and foreign warships and 16 tall ships from around the world.

In addition to the arrival of the ships, Imagination – the team behind the 2011 and 2012 New Year’s Eve events – will produce the Royal Australian Navy’s International Fleet Review Spectacular tonight. The event will include an extensive array of pyrotechnics, lights and projections that will light up the harbour and seven selected ships.

For more information on events go to the navy website.
