Show jumping returns to Hong Kong

  • By Antiques-Art-Design Sydney

Horse JumpingThere’s nothing like a horse event to bring together glamour, prestige and a few luxury brands. So now that Asia’s largest show jumping events, the Longines Hong Kong Masters (LHKM), will return to Hong Kong (21-23 February 2014), this one might be one event to definitely pencil in the diary.

The world’s top 25 elite riders and their horses will be competing for an impressive prize of US$ 1 million (approx. HK$ 7.8 million). Christophe Ameeuw, founder and organizer of the Longines Hong Kong Masters, said, “We are delighted to bring Asia’s largest showjumping event back to Hong Kong with Longines as our title partner for the second year in a row. Together, we will continue to bring the best of showjumping, luxury and lifestyle to the biggest sport-meets-social event in Asia. This is yet another step in our journey to make Hong Kong the equestrian capital of Asia.”

Longines’ President, Walter von Känel, added, “It is a great pleasure to partner once again with EEM World Group for the second edition of the Longines Hong Kong Masters. We are very proud to provide our timekeeping experience to the Masters Grand Slam Indoor events, as they perfectly match with our brand’s key value of elegance and our passion for equestrian sports.”

The Longines Hong Kong Masters combines iconic luxury brand sponsors with VIP entertainment and hospitality. The 1st edition of the Longines Hong Kong Masters saw 64 of the world’s best horses at the event and attracted over 18,000 guests.
