A vintage solid silver neck ring with rutilated quartz drop pendant featuring a drop shaped ovoid cabochon of rutilated quartz suspended on a shaped rod with a hook fitting and which hangs from a v shaped neck ring with front hook closure - these iconic elegant and restrained forms are synonymous with Jensen and with the work of Vivianna Torun Bulow Hube, who as a jewellery designer, is considered one of the most progressive and influential designers of the 20th century. The pendant piece (which is one design of a series of interchangeable pendants featuring various stones) uses one of the most desirable minerals used in this series: rutilated quartz and this piece has particularly fine gold coloured rutile inclusions - Neck rings such as this, sometimes require additional shaping by a jeweller for them to fit the neck of the wearer correctly - this is not an a complex or expensive exercise and should able to be carried out by any competent jeweller if required - marked to neck ring 925 for Sterling silver and with post 1945 marks for Georg Jensen of Copenhagen along with design number 174 by Vivianna Torun Bulow-Hube - marked to pendant 925 for Sterling silver and with GI mark for Georg Jensen of Copenhagen along with design number 128 by Vivianna Torun Bulow-Hube - total weight 37grms - wearable length of neck ring 420mm - dimensions of pendant 64 x 16mm - c.1970 Denmark
