A 1920's rectangular ladies wristwatch with white enamel face with batons, numerals and blue steel hands, 18ct yellow gold case and double leather bracelet and enamel and gold clasp made by Cartier to house a commissioned Jaeger-LeCoultre calibre 104 Duoplan movement developed and made for Cartier

The Calibre 104 when first launched in 1925 was the smallest mechanical watch movement in the world and was only surpassed by the legendary Calibre 101 which was developed, also by Jaeger-LeCoultre, in 1929 and was 1mm smaller. Incredibly the 101 has contimued to hold that record and is still manufactured today.  As a result the 104 is a rarer model and this early example c.1925 (verified by Cartier) has been fully serviced and restored by Cartier in 2016-2017

Signed to the face by Cartier and case and clasp with serial numbers - movement signed for Jaeger-LeCoultre - The watch comes in an original 1920's Cartier presentation box - The case ( not including the hinged ribbed band covers ) measures an incredible 16.7mm long x 6.5mm wide x 4.5mm deep - current wearable length for the band is 145mm - total weight 15.9grms - c.1925 France and Switzerland

Excellent condition with very light wear from normal use - original leather band and deployment clasp, both with light wear, minimal damage to enamel on deployment clasp as shown and some wear to leather band - if the new owner intends to wear a new leather band would be recommended for safety
