A Fashion Week Obsession

With a fondness for all things bejeweled and beguiling, it was hard for us to let the Jayson Brunsdon show go by without a mention of his clever use of beading.

While we are all used to a little shimmer during Fashion Week, Brunsdon’s parade gave us just the right amount of shimmer and sheen. Lavish brocade trapeze dresses, as well as crystalline pants and exaggerated mid-century silhouettes were all reminiscent of scenes from films like Sabrina or Two For The Road.

The one item that truly caught our eye was a simple white satin shift top on which beading embellish was shaped like a necklace. Additionally, the jewellery theme continued with a low-lying beaded choker forming the neckline of a stunning V-necked shift.

The parade entitled Obsession marked the brand’s 10th year, but the music and the way the models carried themselves gave the impression that it was more ethereal than that.
