To mark the 100th anniversary of the Chanel brand, it’s creative Karl Lagerfeld, has gone beyond his role as Head Designer to take on that of Director.
Lagerfeld has assembled a stellar cast for his short film to celebrate the start of the company.
His film, entitled “Once Upon A Time…”, is set in 1913 Deauville where Chanel opened her first store and recreates both the place and the atmosphere, to give you a glimpse into her life.

And yes, that is Keira Knightley (the face of the brand's fragrance Coco) who is playing the legendary fashion designer.
Joining her are French actress Clotilde Hesme (playing Chanel’s aunt Adrienne) and models Lindsey Wixson and Stella Tennant.
Tallulah Harlech, model, actress and daughter of Lagerfeld’s long-time collaborator Lady Amanda Harlech, musician Caroline De Maigret, and male model Brad Kroenig and his four-year-old son – Lagerfeld’s godson – Hudson, will also star in the film.
