Elysium-1-Vogue-6Aug13-PR_bJodie Foster has worn Armani creations countless times on the red carpet, and now she’s wearing them to the office – well, to her latest film set.

Giorgio Armani has teamed up with Jodie Foster on her forthcoming film, Elysium. The designer worked with head of wardrobe April Ferry to create a series of high-fashion futuristic costumes for the actress.

Foster, starring alongside Matt Damon, plays Secretary Delacourt, one of the super-wealthy who reside on a man-made space station in the year 2154 while the rest of the population have been left behind on a ruined planet earth.

Armani described working on the production as “a privilege”.

“My real personal pleasure with Elysium was to be given the honour of outfitting my long-time friend Jodie Foster,” Armani told WWD. “She remains one of my favourite actresses. I admire her work, her talent, her life. I’m captivated by how she personifies the world of 2154 while also making my designs utterly timeless.”

Armani seems to be taking steps towards forging a Hollywood career of late; the designer also created the set for new thriller Paranoia, starring Gary Oldman, Amber Heard and Harrison Ford.
