Vintage Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Cabochon Amber Brooch - design 109

A vintage solid silver oval brooch of a rare design consisting of a large oval amber cabochon bezel set and surrounded by a double halo, the inner surround of a coil motif interspersed with leaves and a berry at each of the compass points and the outer of a wreath of leaves and berries finished with a roll over clasp to the hinged pin at the back - marked for Sterling silver and with post 1945 marks for Georg Jensen of Copenhagen along with design number 109, designed by Georg Jensen himself - total weight 23.1grms - overall dimensions 51 x 43mm - c.1980 Denmark
