Vintage 18k Gold Silver Sapphire Italian Coin Cord Collier Necklace

A vintage gold silver and cord coin necklace featuring an Italian silver 1928 silver 10 lire coin set in a gold mount with a sapphire terminal and mounted with a purple twisted cord with 18k yellow gold fluted caps attached with hinged clasps to the pendant - the coin features an image of Italy (personified) on a two horsed chariot (a Biga) holding fasces (a bundle of sticks and weapons) and an image of King Vittorio Emanuel III to the obverse - this is an excellent example of a coin necklace with the added versatility of allowing the wearer to create numerous different looks by having a detachable pendant - unmarked but tested for 18k gold -  total weight 49.9grms - dimensions of pendant 47 x 33mm - wearable length 47.5mm - diameter of cord 9mm - c.1990 Australia
