Antique French 18k gold and silver diamond and agate wing pin

An antique very finely made pin in a design which is an interpretation of a Caduceus featuring a polished rod of agate bound with diamonds and flanked by a pair of shaped wings in silver set with rose cut diamonds above a gallery surmounting a pin with a twist finial with two snakes to the sides and agate rod terminal bound with diamonds - marked to the back with a French eagle head standard mark for 18k gold - total weight 8.9grms - overall dimensions 87 x 20mm - c.1910 France
