A playful large vintage cocktail ring of 16 pearls arranged in a dome shape with 12 high quality rubies claw set between above a 14k yellow gold fretted star shape basket on a flat shank - Mikimoto is famous for its high quality classic designs and so this has to be one of the most exuberant examples of their work - There are cocktail rings, and there are dinner rings, but if there was to be a category to perfectly describe this ring, it would have to be a "dessert ring" and is sure to bring a smile - marked 585 for 14k gold and for Mikimoto of Tokyo - total weight 16.8grms - overall diameter of face 28mm - current ring size K AU/UK (US 5.125) - c.1965 Japan
